Chosen To Follow the Lord, Mary Russell

I was raised in a Christian home. I was brought up in a denominational background. I had trusted the Lord to save me, to forgive me of my sins by His precious blood, and one day to take me to heaven.

After reaching adulthood, I began to realize, that in order for me to live this human life, I needed God here and now. Not knowing how to seek after the Lord. I began to read his word, pray, meet with other believers that were also following Him. One day the Lord revealed my spirit to me. I realized that the human spirit is where God and Man can dwell together, and that I really could know God and experience Him (John 1:14; 1 Corinthians 15:45).

One day, after following the Lord for several years, I was reading in Ephesians and saw that God had a desire to have a building, a dwelling place on Earth. This building was not an ordinary building, but a building made out of transformed human beings who are fitly framed together into a habitation of God in spirit for His wonderful purpose, for Himself, and to express Himself (2 Corinthians 3:18; 1 Peter 2:5).

I began to pray and ask the Lord, “Where can I find a place where I can be built with other believers into Your house.

After about a year, I began to read books by Watchman Nee and Witness Lee. I soon was brought by the Lord to the Church in Atlanta, where I have found my home in God's dwelling place, where daily I am fed so richly of the truths in God's Word, daily am partaking of riches of Christ (Ephesians 3:8).
